August 13: Museum Island Continued

Can you get some idea from the scale model, what the exhibit behind it is supposed to be like?  If so, you might see that the 45 foot high Ishtar Gate in the museum was actually the small gate in Babylon with an even bigger gate behind it.

This is the entrance to the market place in Miletus. Did the Apostle Paul ever walk through this gate?

Egyptian Queen Nefertiti (from about the time of the Judges in the Bible).  This was as close as they would let you stand to take pictures. The queen even has a few wrinkles!
